All sucre power applied to be transferred to kids.

The project will carry out courses and experiments to encourage creative use of technology and programming in the classroom for both students of primary and secondary education and teachers.

The main idea is that students have the opportunity to investigate and experience first hand the new technologies from the point of view of a programmer, and how technology can help them understand and explore their environment. Experiments in the form of mini projects will cover the following topics: design and assembly of electronic devices composed of sensors and actuators, able to observe and measure phenomena on the environment and act on the real world; and computational thinking and programming concepts.

With the help of “SUCREKit” briefcase, which will contain microcontrollers and sensors, among other electronic components, students will create smart devices and program them with a visual programming tool, to perform the following mini technological projects: to control the humidity of the land of a plant and indicate the right time focapturar irrigation, to detect whether or not a car is parked in a parking space, to activate a fan according to the ambient temperature; to create an intelligent light that illuminates as the intensity of ambient light decreases.

The expected results, which can be adapted to the curriculum of primary and secondary schools, will be: SUCREKit briefcase; a Web tool for visual programming of smart devices; teaching materials and experiments, for both students and teachers, for the development of mini technological projects and stimulate computational thinking and programming concepts among students; and finally a web portal where content, results and experiences of the project will be published.
